McCallum Shihan is one of New
Zealand's most experienced karateka, and has been involved with
Kyokushin in NZ from its earliest days. He has trained extensively
in Japan, under Oyama Sosai and Matsui Kancho as
well as many other Kyokushin legends. He has coached and managed
many NZ teams. In 1991 he was awarded the QSM for services to
Karate, and in 2000 was inducted into the NZ Martial Arts Hall of
Fame.
Paul has spent
time training in England, and also has some experience in
Tae Kwon Do, in which his partner holds a black belt. For
those considering both, he rates his law degree as easier to
achieve than passing his Black Belt grading.
Anthony
has trained in dojos in London, Christchurch and
Auckland. Both Anthony's children are members of the
Junior Dojo, although fortunately he outranks them!
